Aram Schvey

Senior Director of Policy & Government Relations

Aram Schvey is Senior Director of Policy and Government Relations at PACT. He brings over 20 years of experience in human rights advocacy, government affairs, and combating human trafficking.

Before joining PACT, Aram served as Senior Congressional Advisor in the U.S. State Department's Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons, where he led the Department’s engagement with Congress.  Previously, as Deputy (and later Interim) Vice President of Investigations at Transparentem, he directed human rights investigations into human trafficking (including child forced labor) in corporate supply chains, holding multinational corporations accountable for violations of international standards.

Earlier in his career, Aram held senior policy positions at the Center for Reproductive Rights, where he developed government relations strategies engaging Congress, the White House, and federal agencies. He also taught international human rights law as a fellow at Georgetown University Law Center and Fordham University School of Law, litigated constitutional cases at Americans United for Separation of Church and State, and represented foreign governments and international organizations at Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton.

Aram holds a J.D. and L.L.M. from Georgetown University Law Center, an M.A. from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, and an A.B. in Government from Harvard University.
