From the Mat to the Mission: A Online Yoga Collective Supports PACT
Something very special grew out of PACT CEO Lori Cohen’s participation in a yoga retreat over Valentine’s Day weekend. During the retreat, she connected with teachers from Eka Jyothi Yoga Collective, a community offering hatha yoga and somatic movement. Classes center on enhancing emotional regulation and spiritual connection so individuals may achieve their “highest, truest, most compassionate selves.”
Consistent with these practices is a commitment to societal healing. Each month, Eka Jyothi Yoga Collective donates the net proceeds from their classes to a different humanitarian organization. In March 2026, PACT was selected for its efforts to end child trafficking. In their newsletter announcing the monthly selection, the Collective highlighted PACT’s “focus on practical prevention, including survivor-informed training resources designed for real-world settings and partnerships that bring awareness and accountability into everyday spaces.”
The Collective also offered members of PACT’s staff and our Survivors’ Council free yoga classes for the month of March, including one special fundraiser class designed for people who have experienced trauma.
This mindful donation and awareness-raising is a meaningful example of the ways in which PACT continues to expand its network of supporters and donors.
PACT is very grateful to the Eka Jyothi Yoga Collective for helping us spread the message that each of us has a responsibility to ensure that all children have the right to grow up free from sexual exploitation and trafficking.
