UNFORGETTABLE EVENING AT THE 2023 FREEDOM AWARDS

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to each and every one of you who joined us on June 13, 2023, for the PACT annual Freedom Awards. Your unwavering commitment and dedication to our Pact in preventing child sexual exploitation and trafficking are truly inspiring.

The Freedom Awards was a remarkable blend of celebration and education. It allowed us to share our mission and programs, shedding light on the various initiatives that PACT has contributed to. The event offered a unique opportunity for networking, bringing together individuals who share the same passion for addressing one of the most heinous crimes against children.

Congratulations to all the honorees who were recognized for their exceptional contributions to our cause. Your tireless efforts and unwavering advocacy to protect child rights have made a profound impact, creating a brighter future for countless children worldwide.

Our honoree, James Dold, talked about his experience with PACT: “In a world where, oftentimes these issues are dumbed down or we try to make things simple, PACT understands that this is a very complex topic. The things that make children vulnerable to child trafficking such as being impoverished, children who come from trauma backgrounds where they’ve been exposed to violence in their communities and their homes, children who are at the margins that are most impacted by human trafficking.”

Florida Seminole Tribe member and human trafficking advocate Durante Blais-Billie added: “It gives us honor to partner with PACT to be able to address this, not just for indigenous children but for children everywhere across these states, across these territories, and worldwide. Our indigenous community really deeply connects with the issue of human trafficking. As mentioned before, indigenous people are disproportionately affected and represented across all different sectors and risk factors, even showing up in the juvenile court systems, all things that affect human trafficking. It is important for us to stand here, have our voices heard, and stand in connection with people who are affecting the whole world, and the United States.”

We would like to express our deep gratitude to our sponsors, whose generous support made the Freedom Awards possible. Your commitment and partnership empower us to protect children from the horrors of sexual violence and pave the way for meaningful change.

To all our sponsors, supporters, and donors, your invaluable contributions fuel our mission and give hope to countless lives. This year’s Benefit was an unprecedented success. All funds raised thanks to the generosity of all sponsors and supporters will be used to support our awareness and prevention efforts to protect children. As our CEO Lori Cohen stated: ”PACT has been leading the way for child protection both in-person and online. Each of our programs, for education, private sector, and advocacy, have made enormous strides in sharing best practices for the identification and prevention of commercial sexual exploitation and trafficking. What stands out is how collaboration across PACT’s programs and with our partners has fueled impact.”

Thank you once again for being part of this extraordinary event. Your continued support will enable us to make an even greater impact and bring about lasting change. Together, let's build a world in which no child is bought, sold, or used for sex.
